Droits à l'image

Taking and spreading photographs and videos

The Festival du Houblon (Hop Festival) is open to everyone. During the event, photographs and videos will be taken and published for promotional purposes on our website https://www.festivalduhoublon.eu/en  and in other media (e.g. brochures, newsletters, social networks, newspapers, etc.).

Processing the photographic and audiovisual data

The Maison des Associations de Haguenau (MAH), 1 Pl. Joseph Thierry 67500 Haguenau, represented by Christine Wendling, Director, is responsible for the data processing.

The photos and videos are used for communication and promotional purposes around the Festival du Houblon. They are not sold or transferred in any way. The MAH, as the owner of these photos, vouches for it. The photos and videos may be used for a period of two years, after which they will be stored in the Festival archives. Content may be transferred to:

  • Various social networks managed by the MAH as part of promotional activities around the Festival du Houblon.
  • Third parties (e.g. journalists) for promotional purposes only, and always within the European Union.

Collection of this data is compulsory for the purposes of promoting the Festival du Houblon and reporting on the MAH’s activities. However, it is kept to a minimum and will not be used to identify any individual without his or her prior consent.

Your rights

Both jurisprudence and the right to information state that when a person participates in a mediatized public event, he or she gives tacit consent to the capture and use of his or her image.

By virtue of this agreement, any person taking part in the Festival du Houblon tacitly consents to the capture of his or her image and voice by means of photography or video, and to their use on all communication media, physical or digital (in particular the production of audiovisual programs, as well as video- or photographic reports), in connection with the Festival and/or the promotion of its activities, for a period of two years, solely on the territory of the European Union. The captured images and sounds will then be archived in the municipality’s archives.

In principle, no authorization is required to take and use images of a crowd. However, if you are the main subject of a photo, even if the primary objective is to “show” the activities and atmosphere of the festival, you have the right to object: to the taking of the photo and/or to its circulation.

You can register your objection directly with the photographer/videographer on the day of the event. If you notice that you are being photographed or filmed, you can contact the photographer/videographer directly to specify that you do not wish to appear in the photos/video.

You can also express your objection after the fact. If you recognize yourself in one or more photos and no longer wish them to be published, please contact the association at mah@agglo-haguenau.fr

In addition to your right to object, you also have the rights of access, rectification, deletion and limitation, applicable to all processing.

In the event of refusal or lack of response, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
